Fire stations in Shasta County always stand out to me because of the intentional use of fire engine red. Vibrant red is a bold color that no one usually can miss; it can mean importance, emergency, or to stop. The purpose is to get your attention! Fire fighters need people to look out for them in the state of an emergency and that is why they drive large red engines with sirens. I picked this use of color because I think it is important to value those who choose this career, especially in Shasta County where we uncommonly have so many wildfires.
